Abstract

|
Objective : The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between occupational volition and sleep patterns in young adulthood.
Methods : Nine undergraduate and graduate students completed the Occupational Questionnaire (OQ) and a survey about sleep patterns everyday for one week. Correlation analysis between the competence, value, and interest of the OQ and sleep patterns was performed.
Results : The high value and interest of sleep were related to the short latency to sleep and the infrequent awakening during sleep.
Conclusion : In terms of developing sleep intervention plans for healthy life participation for clients, educational efforts that help clients consider the value of sleep and find interests in sleep activities may lead to increased sleep participation.
